Endless Love For Pearl's Sight

Our 4-year-old daughter Pearl has been suffering from a severe genetic eye disease, “Familial Exudative Vitreoretinopathy (FEVR),” on both of her eyes since birth. Since August 8th, 2016, Pearl has visited eye-doctor for over 20 times and gone under two major surgeries. The cost for each surgery is huge and it’s became a hardship for us to fulfill the medical care and living expenses. To totally get rid of the danger of losing eyesight for her left eye, Pearl will need to take another surgery. We are in need of more support.
We come from China, both my wife and I are retired. Four years ago we adopted Pearl and her twin sister Crystal, when they were only 5 months old. After finding out that Pearl suffered with FEVR, we have been looking for every opportunity to cure her. All the way from China to all over the world, we have devoted all of our efforts to prevent our daughter Pearl from going blind. Gladly, we found that Johns Hopkins Hospital could offer her the treatment treatment she needs. However, it is still very difficult for us to pay such a high medical and living expenses.
We love our Pearl so much, she is full of love! She is lovely, warm-hearted, energetic and full of curiosity for the outside world. She’s very fond of little animals, she is such a special girl. Together with her twin sister, Crystal, they are the brightness of the sun in our family. If not treated soon, Pearl will become blind and will be unable to see or play games with her twin sister Crystal any longer.
This is such an unbearable amount of suffering for Pearl as a 4-year-old girl and us, as her parents. We cannot help weeping painfully for her situation every night, we continue to pray for her all the time.
Since the time Pearl and Crystal were deserted right after they were born, it was destined that they would need more love than other children. We have nothing but endless love for them. We are continuously seeking help for the sight of this little angel, our Pearl. And we are willing to devote everything to keep Pearl’s sight.
We pray every day and we look forward to more friends praying together for the light and sight of Pearls’ life.
