So the situation is:
The current living situation is practically unbearable.
80% of our light sockets are currently unusable due to faulty wiring.
Our upstairs neighbor (We live in a duplex) is volatile and very, very loud. He fights with his family constantly and any attempts to communicate a wish for him to keep his volume down results in violent backlash in terms of wanting to fight, yelling, and threats of bodily harm.
The bedrooms, kitchen, and sometimes living room flood during the spring thaw, when the washing machine malfunctions, or when it rains for a long period of time. Landlord's response was to install one pump in a closet in one of the two rooms.
The Landlord himself has decided, upon us bringing these complaints to him and asking him to do something about it was to not renew our lease. We're on a month-to-month lease. So basically we're getting booted in like half a month?
I guess we could sit here until he serves an eviction notice, but that'll destroy any hope of getting a new apartment any time soon.
What the money is for:
Moving costs, storage, unit, and lodging for myself my boyfriend and our cat. Any leftovers will go to food and help with a deposit/first month's rent on a new place.
When it is needed:
Unfortunately, as soon as possible. We want to avoid an eviction notice.
