ABOUT THE PROJECT
As most of you know I own / restored the Green Goblin head from Stephen King's classic movie, Maximum Overdrive. I spent 2 years restoring it and March 16, 2013 it made it's first public appearance since 1986! Fan response was overwhelming and we have attended around 20 shows since then.
I'm gearing up for the 2015 - 2016 Tour. I have a great new display I'm working on with a lot of cool Maximum Overdrive memorabilia. I have a lot of original Maximum Overdrive movie posters from around the world (some as large as 10' tall!!), DVD's and VHS tapes from around the world and I'm building a 9' tall Dixie Boy building sign. 2016 marks the 30th Annivesary of Maximum Overdrive and there are several cast members thinking of doing a few shows with me!!
My goal is to attend as many cons as I can to share with fans everywhere. Without proper funding I'll be forced to only book a few local cons and leave the Green Goblin head stored in the garage.
Those who have met me know I love what I'm doing. I'm not out to "Get Rich" from this project. My rewards is the joy I see on the fans faces and to talk to them and listen to their stories and to share mine with them!
WHY I NEED YOUR HELP
I'm now in the third year sharing it with fans from Florida to Canada. Although most cons help get me to their shows, there is still a lot of other costs that I'm hit with. Both years I've toured I lost money. The Goblin Project is a one man project and the expenses to keep touring is just too heavy of a burden for me to bear alone.
Up to now I have pretty much stayed on the east coast because cost has kept me from going too far west. I have a job and when I do a show I miss 2-3 days of work which means I don't get paid for those days. I'm still paying for the trailer, have insurance cost, truck expenses and other misc. expenses.
We are out of funds on our new display and still need money for all other expenses involved. I need $10,000 to complete everything and to cover all other show expenses for the 2015 & 2016 seasons. As of now I only have 3 shows booked for 2015 and if I don't reach my goal I won't be able to book any more shows.
MY GOAL
My goal is to attend as many shows as I can all across America and Canada to give fans everywhere the opportunity to see this great Stephen King icon!
