Shameela's Pilot Training for Air Ambulance

Not many people know that I have had a dream of becoming a pilot ever since I was a teenager. Life brought other blessings like marriage and children at an early age so I shelved the thoughts of flying for another time in the future. In the meantime, I completed a Medical Degree and a Masters in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response- at the same time as being a mother to four wonderful children alhamdulillah.
I am no stranger to hard work or to striving in achieving personal goals. Over the last 10 years, with Allah's Guidance, I have volunteered and fundraised for many different causes, managing to raise over £1.5 million pounds for different charities that provide relief for Syria, Bangladesh (Rohingya), Gaza, Pakistan, Lebanon, Iraq and more locally for the Grenfell tragedy as well as deploying globally to help personally deliver aid and medical relief.
I am setting up this new fundraising page to provide my friends and family an opportunity to support and invest in me gaining a valuable skill that will help save lives in sha Allah. I am aiming to join the air ambulance once completing this pilot training in sha Allah. There are very few female helicopter pilots and even fewer Muslim trainees. I have passed the initial stages of pilot selection alhamdulillah and started logging my hours.
However, I will be working super hard to pay for these lessons and training- something I am determined to do in sha Allah. Over the last few years, I have been using my skills for charity- I cook, provide hair, makeup and henna services among other skills that God blessed me with. While I will continue to do that, I have set up this fundraiser separate to my charity campaigns to invest in my goal.
I hope you can support my efforts by donating here or buying food that I prepare or booking for hair, makeup and henna so I can get closer to my goal. You can of course donate to the fundraiser without purchasing anything, if you consider the skill at the end would enable lives to be saved.
I am hoping that this would be accepted as a sadaqa jaaria on my behalf for any lives saved and for anyone else who invested in me to be able to do that. Please share the campaign- I will share updates here in sha Allah of my progress.
