Perogy Kitchen Make Over Project
Donation protected
We are in a pinch at the Ukrainian Hall at 805 E. Pender St in Strathcona, Vancouver - a perogy pinch!
Every month for the past 8 decades hard working volunteers, aged 16 to 96, have been pinching thousands of perogies for patrons' dining enjoyment.
One by one, these humble little potato and cheese dumplings have helped to fund the cultural and charitable activities of the Ukrainian Hall.
Our perogy lunches held in November, February and April have become a community pillar and family tradition. Increasingly, we are seeing families line up around the block, wanting to buy and eat our homemade perogies. We urgently need to purchase new kitchen equipment. This project will greatly improve the challenge we are having in keeping up with the demand and increase the speed of perogy delivery.
We need a little help! It's hard for independent, hard working people to admit they need help, but we do!
So if your heart's all a flutter at the smell of onions in butter, any contribution will be so greatly appreciated. Dyakuyu!!
