I am trying to turn a negative into a positive please keep reading on how I plan to do so.
1.We lost Lincoln sept 15th and have planted a tree in his honor and I couldn’t think of a better way to memorialize him.This tree was donated to us by The workplace of a family member which was extremely nice of them but what we didn’t realize was that without it being donated how much the tree/planting and memorial plaque would be. No one should have to memorialize their child but they also shouldn’t have to worry about the financials of doing so after their loss.So my mission is to raise money to help those who’ve lost a child or had a stillborn get the opportunity to memorialize their babies without the financial strain that comes with being able to do so.
2.Their are so many things you don’t think of until you go through it and can see whats flawed and needs change I spent two days with Lincoln in the hospital saying goodbye but the longer we kept him the harder it was as his body started to deteriorate I don’t want to go into to many details about it but I can tell you with all my heart that didn’t make it any easier
There is a wonderful device called a cuddle cot that keeps the infant cool to prolong the visible deterioration so families have the time to say goodbye properly. I know it’s not a happy thought but think of how much impact this can make on grieving families I wish I had one but all I can do is help get one for surrounding hospitals to help families in the future.
What I want to ask of my friends/family and anyone reading is to consider donating to my cause even if I only raise enough to help one family get a tree for their baby it’s better than nothing and I so badly want to help ! Even the cuddle cots make a huge difference to families going through it ! I am also going to be reaching out to local businesses for donations and hosting a Facebook auction as well so be on the lookout for that if you own a business or have anything you can donate for my auction( new items/services or handmaid items etc ) please get a hold of me! Any help is much appreciated Please feel free to share as well if you think your friends may be able to help
