Officer Stevens came by today and wanted to say Thank you to you all for the donations and the love you have shown her!!! She says that it has helped her out tremendously with the mounds of medical bills she has been receiving!!!!

Ms Stevens just recovered from inflammation in her left lung.  During her recovery they found another spot (left lung) that has grown within the last few month.  The doctors weren't able to do a biopsy on her left lung until she recovered from the lung infection.  Dianne’s infection has gone away and tomorrow she will meet with the doctor to review the spot.  With some great news, in her right lung the cancer has shrunk some from 15 centimeters to 9 centimeters.  Which is great news!  But, she still has a long way to go.  There is more treatments (radiation and Chemo) they want to give her in order to shrink the cancer before they try to remove it.

More updates to come once she meets with the cancer and lung doctor tomorrow.   Please continue to pray for our dear friend, mentor, and family member Dianne Stevens.

Ms Stevens says thank you for all of the support you have given her and she loves you all very much!!!!!   HUGS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!

-Dianne

**From her friends and family, they wanted me to state:  We still have a long way to go to reach our goal, so please pass the Go Fund Me page around and keep on praying because it is working!!!!!**

Hello Everyone,

It's been awhile since our last post.   We wanted to give you an update on our dear friend Diane Steven's progress. Unfortunately, her fight continues. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, the tumor(s) have not reduced in size. Therefore Ms. Steven's and her doctors are working hard to see what other avenues they can take to shrink the tumor(s).  Diane recently had a PET scan to help the doctors better understand the extent of Diane's illness.   In order for Ms Stevens to have the surgery to remove the tumor, they must decrease  its size.  We know that many of you have recently helped Diane with your financial support and we thank you very much for doing so.  We have been asked by a few people who would like to still donate towards this campaign.  We wanted to thank you for reaching out and wanting to help.   Diane hasn't been able to work regularly because of her illness and her expenses continues to grow.  We ask that you keep sharing this page and if you are able to give anything to help support our dear friend, every little bit helps. Diane needs to focus on getting better. She doesn't need the stress  of medical bills that are piling up. Please dig deep to a help a friend in need.

Thank you.

Hello Everyone,
We wanted to give you an update on our friend Officer Stevens.     Ms. Stevens had to be hospitalized recently, she is at Johnston Willis hospital.  Her treatment left her very weak and dehydrated.  She's been unable to keep her food down, her white blood cells are very low which leaves her in this weakened state.  As you can imagine, her expenses continues to increase  and she is unable to work.  As we all have stated, Ms. Stevens needs to focus on getting well and doesn't need to worry about her living and medical expenses.  She is our friend, and she needs our help.  We ask you to keep her in your prayers. Please continue your giving.  We had a very successful first round of donations to the Go Fund Me fundraising.  Anything you can give is greatly appreciated.   Your giving has greatly touched Officer Stevens and her family.  Let's help her get well.  Thank you all.

***I am in AWE with what I have seen here the last week or so.   The amount of love and support that has been expressed on this campaign page for Ms. Stevens.   We have met the FIRST goal of the campaign and we can't thank you all enough for that!  We have been able to help Ms. Steven's with  some of her chemo and radiation treatments.

As we are early in Dianne's treatment we are hoping for your continued generous donations so that we can minimize Dianne's financial burdens.  ***

We have learned that a friend, family member, co-worker, and church member was diagnosed with Stage 3B lung cancer.  Ms. Steven’s (Officer Stevens or Dianne) has always given back to her community, family, friends, co-workers and church, but now she is facing a time of need.  Her family wanted to show you how special Dianne Stevens is to our community.

Ms. Stevens has volunteered at the Riverside Regional Jail in Prince George from 2009-2017.  At Riverside Regional she provided counseling and rehabilitation to the men and women who resided there.  Dianne was loved by the staff and the inmates.  Those inmates still love Ms. Stevens and remember her kind words.  They are also grateful to her for allowing them to see within themselves and helping them turn over a new leaf.

Officer Stevens is known at AMPAC Fine Chemicals (and BI) for giving countless hugs, smiles and prayers to all who worked and visited the site.  She is known for making salmon patties, potatoes, pies and sausage links to share with employees on site.  She has brought joy and comfort to the site for 18 years.  Seeing her bright smile and bubbly personality when you arrive or leave work will always brighten your day.

Dianne has also worked with the elderly, providing them care, love and worship.  She has worked for Colonial Heights Convalescent Home doing what she does best.  She has also worked for other facilities in Prince George and Hopewell.

Sister Stevens, as she is known by her church, has been a proud member of  Zion Apostolic Christian Memorial for over 30 years.  She is part of the Ministry Women of Worship.  This gives her the tools and guidance she needs to provide inspiration and encouragement to others, helping and loving people…but most of all just loving life.

This GO FUND ME site is a way for all of us to pay it forward.  It is now time to take care of Ms. Dianne Stevens. As we all know medical procedures can be costly.  The CT scans, biopsies, chemotherapy and 36 radiation sessions Dianne has had have become a bit pricey.  Unfortunately, if Dianne isn’t at work she doesn’t get paid.   The daily radiation treatments oftentimes make her sick.  She also has to take time off to make these appointments and as a result she misses time from work.

So, we have put together this Go Fund Me page and started a campaign to raise $5000.00.  We hope that we can reach this goal, but it would be even better is if we can surpass it.

We want to thank everyone in advance for your support and please pass the Go Fund Me account to as many people as you can.

As Ms. Stevens would say, “OHHH Bless you, let me give you a hug!”

When things go wrong, As they sometimes will.  When the road you're trudging seems all uphill. When the funds are low, and the debts are high.  And you want to smile but you have to sigh..... When care is pressing you down a bit, REST if you must BUT DON'T YOU QUIT.... LOVE TEAM STEVENS
