Some help needed for a friend....

My friend Linda is an incredible woman who has been hit with a series of unfortunate life circumstances recently. Without going into too much detail, she's just gotten out of a bad relationship, is not currently working (although trying very hard to find a job), has no vehicle, and is being forced to move out of her home in the next couple of weeks. Through it all the one constant positive and good thing in her life has been her sweet old kitty, Pat.

Well, Pat Cat got sick last week. A trip to the vet revealed an infected tooth - she was started on antibiotics. The vet recommended cleaning her teeth, at a cost of $600. With some trepidation, as Pat is a senior citizen, Linda agreed. Using the small cache of funds set aside to purchase a vehicle, to take care of her ailing cat instead, Pat got her teeth cleaned and one extracted. Unfortunately she did not respond well to a pain shot she was given, and ended up spending three nights at the vet. She had a lot of trouble processing the medication out of her system.  The good news is, Pat did recover. The vet also discounted his bill, which was incredibly nice.

But the fact remains that Linda's small savings has been emptied, she's facing a move, and is a person that could use a helping hand right now.

Maybe you know Linda from here on Facebook. Maybe you knew her on Flickr as Dieguita (which is where I met her). Maybe you don't know her at all.

But if you could find it in your heart to give, just a little, to make a rough time easier for a very good person, that would be wonderful. A lot of people doing just a little, can make a huge difference to someone's life. I know that there are always requests for help here on Facebook - I donate to as many as I am able.  So now it's my turn to ask, not for myself, but for a friend who truly is in need.  Can you please help Linda and Pat?  They deserve it.  Thank you very much.
