Help Raise Awareness

OUR AIM

The Only Awareness project has been set up to produce a series short films that will raise awareness on a variety of topics ranging from mental health, alcohol and drug abuse, to domestic violence.

We aim to distribute these films to schools, colleges and awareness events throughout the U.K and are looking to partner with charities and support groups so we can help share these videos to as many people as possible. 


HELPING

This project will not only raise awareness and tackle hard hitting issues, but will provide an opportunity for young people in the area to channel their creativity. All the films produced will be cast, written and made by creatives in the local area. 

By raising awareness on these topics we may be able to prevent and help these issues before they become a problem. If you're fortunate enough to not have been effected by mental illness you at least know someone who has, so if we can produce hard hitting films that are realistic and guide people to charities that can help we could save thousands of peoples lives.



WHY VIDEO

Video is one of the most powerful forms of getting a message across, especially if it is done in the right way. We were all shown videos in high school that covered domestic violence, STI's or alcohol awareness and majority of these videos were so dated and never really got the message across. It was a wasted opportunity. We want to update these videos and provide a resource pack alongside the videos so people can watch the video and then discuss the issues as a group. 



WHERE YOUR DONATIONS GO

Making film is an expensive process and  is usually under estimated in how much time and effort it takes to put a film together. So many people are happy to help out for free, but there are some things that you just have to pay for. Usually it can cost thousands just to hire out equipment, but we have already invested in the equipment and have everything we need to make the films now.

Your donations will help pay for development of the lesson plans, research and marketing, location hires, cast and crew wages, the writers, the editors, costume, make up, admin and general running cost for the website and softwares used to create these films. 

The funds of this campaign will set up everything we need to sustain the company for years to come and fund the first batch of films to get this project off the ground.
