Abbey's Mission to Haiti

Dear Family and Friends:

I have some exciting news I'd love to share with you! This summer I have the exciting opportunity to go on a mission trip to Haiti. My heart lies with children, but it breaks because there are so many children without food, health, shelter, and an education. I feel called to help children, and I feel called to Haiti.

During my time in Haiti, I will be with my local church working with the Mission of Hope, and organization that gives orphans homes, provides food, medication, and education for so many underprivileged Haitians, and spreads the love of Christ along the way. While in Haiti, I will have the opportunity to work in orphanages, build homes for those still displaced from the earthquake, and spend time playing with, loving on, and ministering to children in a number of orphanages.

I am reaching out to you to see if you would consider standing with me in two areas: financial support and prayer.

Your prayerful consideration of giving financially will greatly help me help Haitian children. The estimated budget for the trip, which includes airfare, transportation, housing and meals, is $1,700. Any and all financial support would be greatly appreciated! This site is an easy and safe way to support me in this mission. It allows you to give any amount, and to give anonymously if you choose. My first payment of $800 is due May 1st, and the remainder is due July 1st. Without financal support I will not be able to take this wonderful opportunity, but I know that if it is the Lord's will that I do this work in Haiti, then he will provide!

The second thing I would love to have you stand with me is through prayer. Prayers for travel mercies, safety, good health, and an abundance of opportunities to share love with Haitian children.
