Protection for the Araripe Manakin

We need to save the forests of the Araripe Manakin. My name is Michael Klotz and I write as The Bird Blogger on TheBirdBlogger.com about all things that concern wild birds. It has been a life long goal of mine to be involved with the conservation of birds and the lands and forests that they use as their home. I am looking to purchase private land where it is being used or is going to be used for farming or pasture land. The process where all the forest is cut down and burnt for the purpose of birding. I have now found that bird, the Araripe Manakin. This bird needs our help. It is considered one of the most endangered birds in the world and it is currently only found in Brazil in an area smaller than the Island of Manhattan, or half the size of Santa Monica.  There are estimated to be as little as 700 individuals in existance. It is imperative that we act right now to ensure that this amazing little bird survives. The money that you donated will be used to purchase the land in this very small area of the world to ensure the safety of the Araripe Manakin. Any donation will be appreciated.
