Asia Sade Bobbitt Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Asia Sade Bobbitt was an 18 year old student at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She had hopes of enlisting in the United States Army.

Asia was a youth advocate and very involved in her community and always willing to help others. Some of her work included: Youth taking flight, summer counselor, volunteer at torchlight summer program, attended bring back the village meetings every Monday night. She gave her love and time to the community and had always wanted to start an organization for the youth.

Her family did have life insurance for Asia, however, because the nature of her death was suicide, the insurance funds cannot be accessed. Unbeknownst to her family, Asia was very depressed and took her own life on the evening of Friday, December 4th.

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death between the ages of 10 - 24. More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease COMBINED.

So we would like to create this memorial fund to assist the family with funeral expenses and anything else they may need.

Any funds beyond the family's desired goal will go towards outreach programs to help carry on Asia's legacy.
