Ellie’s IVDD Recovery Fund

I’m trying to raise money to help pay for Ellie, our 3 year old miniature dachshund’s medical bills.

She recently slipped a disc in her lower back. Dachshunds are prone to IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease).

In Ellie’s case, her disc slipped upwards into her spinal canal which is compressed against her spinal cord. This has caused her to have no motor control in her back 2 legs.


Unfortunately this accident struck us by surprise. A day later she was rushed into the animal hospital for an MRI and spinal surgery. The surgery cost $7,000 dollars and at the time we had no choice but to pay that amount or have Ellie suffer.


We are now in extreme financial problems after that accident. The bills are still going to be increasing due to her future needs. Future needs include, accessibility equipment (ramps, steps, harnesses, etc), various types of therapy, and including many future vet appointments.

We want to keep her future bright and healthy. We would be extremely happy for a small donation for our little princess Ellie.
