My name is Autumn, and my cousin, Stephanie, is in need of help for medical expenses. Stephanie is 31 years old and the loving mother of 3 young children ages 9-13 and a loving wife to her husband, Jamey.
Over the past year, Stephanie has been very ill and has been in and out of the hospital and always left with no answers as to why she was sick. The constant hospitalizations led to her losing her job and her health insurance.
On December 31st, she lost the ability to walk. Her husband took her to the hospital where tests showed liver and kidney dysfunction, but there was no answer to the paralysis. She was admitted to the hospital, and on January 5th, she went into respiratory failure, coded, and was transferred to the ICU and placed into a medically induced coma. She was also placed on CRRT, which is a type of dialysis that is performed on critically ill patients in the ICU with acute kidney failure.
As of today, January 16th, she is still in the ICU and on the ventilator and we have been told that she needs a liver transplant.
This is devastating news to a family that has already been through so much. The insurance will be effective Feb. 1st and she will be put on the transplant list at that point. The family desperately needs help as much as possible.
Please help if you can, even if it’s just prayers and to pass this on. I can’t sit back and watch someone I grew up with as a sister and do nothing, which is why I created this gofundme page.
