A Mother's Plea

Donation protected
moth·er: The meaning of being a mother is virtually endless. A mother is a protector, disciplinarian and friend. A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children. A Mothers Plea My son, Damon Ford has been a chronic asthmatic from birth, so his quality of life has been very limited.  My son has spent 90% of his life in the hospital, on medicines and/or oxygen.  As a mother, I’ve exhausted every avenue possible to find a medical cure or help for my son.  We have been to many doctors and specialist, with very little success.  He has been on so much medicine over the years that he’s developed other health issues, such as Scoliosis and Hyper tension. On April 10th, I was given information about the Lung Institute.  I contacted the facility and was given great information about the procedures that they use and how successful the treatments have been.  For once in my life, I felt that there was light at the end of this long scary journey.  Each time that my son has had an asthma attack, I prayed that it’s not his last breath.  At the end of the conversation, I asked if the procedure is covered by medical insurance and the answer was NO!.  This is considered an elected procedure.  I don’t understand how you not being able to breathe is considered elected…but how does one fight the large insurance companies? This is not a scam or a way of getting money that will not be used solely for this purpose.  This is my last hope beside continuing to pray to God for a miracle.  This will be a stem cell treatment.  The cost for the first treatment of the procedure is $7500 and if a second treatment is needed, it would be at a cost of $12,000.  Somehow, I have I must raise this money.  As a mother, it’s my job to help save my child’s life.  All information for his treatments can be confirmed by the Lung Institute.   I am pleading…Any monetary help would be appreciated.  If we as a people can help save animals, parks, etc.  (Not that these are important, as well) …Can you please help save my son’s life?  I’d truly appreciate your petition to God on our behalf along with your donations.  No donation is too big or small.  We’d appreciate all donations by June 20th 2018 for the July procedure.  All donations will be graciously received through this gofundme account or directly mailed to Unity Tabernacle Church of God at 3875 E.131st Street Cleveland, Ohio 44105.
