A few months ago a dear friend of mine was raped. In addition to the trauma she now deals with, she is also pregnant by her rapist. She's almost 14 weeks, and we're running out of time to help her terminate her pregnancy.
After the assault my friend retreated and became silent. She was left with a decision she never thought she would have to make. Feeling ashamed she began to blame herself. She finally came to the decision to terminate this pregnancy. Please help me support her in her time of need.
Anything in the 2nd trimester costs $980 and I've attempted to come up with these funds myself with no luck. I've also reached out to various organizations for help including Planned Parenthood. Unfortunately, some orgs require my friend to have a verifiable source of income, and others require costly pregnancy examinations before one can even qualify. My friend also doesn't have health insurance, she is truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. I hope to raise $1500 in hopes that the remaining amount after the procedure costs will help my friend with whatever she needs.
We are constrained by our finances so we're asking for donations to help her. I am incredibly broke or I would have paid for it myself. We're trying to get her life back to normal so please help, for if this pregnancy continues, my friend dies.
