Cuddle Cot- Nevan Lyew-Sang

I am raising funds for our local hospital in memory of my nephew Nevan who was born sleeping and also for parents who have lost their babies far too soon.
My sister (Semayah) and her husband (Len) tragically lost their son Nevan. He was delivered by an emergency caesarean section on 2nd September 2017 and was stillborn.
During this difficult time the midwives put Nevan in a Cuddle Cot which allowed them to spend six precious days with him whilst she recovered. This enabled them to hold and cuddle him, sing to him, take pictures and tell him how much he is loved. All these precious moments she and her husband will carry in their hearts forever.
My sister and her husband state that this was only made possible because of the Cuddle Cot.
The Cuddle Cot is an amazing piece of technology that is compassionate in its very nature. The system consists of a cooling pad which is placed in a cot and attached to a insulated hose. This is connected to the cooling system.
It allowed Nevan to remain cool and stay in the room for them to bond. This also in turn allowed family and friends to meet him and to say their goodbyes.
What the Cuddle Cot allowed in that short period of time would definitely benefit another family in their time of loss. The time spent with Nevan was indescribable. It allowed my sister and her family to reflect on their tragedy and has driven them to try and ease another families heartache and pain.
Despite Nevan’s still birth, we have great comfort knowing that his short time on earth could impact families in a positive way.
