Michael L. Myvett Fund
This will serve as the official fundraiser page for the family of Michael Lee Myvett. Michael was involved in the tragic bus accident on April 10th, 2014, which was headed to Humbolt University. Michael was serving as a chaperone on the tour bus that was involved in the accident.
Michael is the beloved son of Tamiko and Andre Island, and leaves behind his two younger brothers Bill and Rothell. Michael was also newly engaged to Mattison Haywood on Christmas 2013 in Paris.
He was a graduate of Humboldt State University in Arcata, California in 2007 and 2009, and was planning on going back to receive his Masters Degree.
This website has been arranged on behalf of his Mother Tamiko Loyd. Due to insurance policy discrepancies she is in desperate need of your help. Any financial assistance you are able to give will be greatly appreciated and updated information will be posted on this site as arrangements are made. The funds will be used by his mother to assist with burial and additional arrangements as necessary in relation to such ie. travel and lodging accommodations for certain immediate family members which are unable to perform continuous travel due to health issues or financial hardship.

I worked with Michael at the Center For Autism. He used to come into my office everyday, he was there and talk to me about anything. I am so heartbroken to hear this. He was an amazing wonderful person with big dreams. He had a smile that lit up my office when he walked in. Since I've stopped working at CARD, he has contacted me to see how I were doing. When I heard of this tragedy, he came across my mini bekuz he remembered he graduated from that University and talked to me about his plans returning, not knowing that he and his fiancé were involved. I will continue to miss Michael and will keep his and his fiancé 's family in my prayers. I am so sadden by this and realize life is very short and when God calls u home, there's nothing you can do. Rest Peacefully Michael and your beautiful fiancé.
I loved Mattison and Michael and I'm devastated that they're gone. They're in heaven together and I hope the families will work together so that they will be laid to rest together here on earth.
It's just so sad I new Michael he was a great kid please continue to pray for the family
