Yoga in Old North St. Louis
Donation protected
Over the years I have heard several reasons why someone hasn’t tried yoga. Most often it is because of a few things. The first reason being a lack of understand in regard to what yoga entails and why it is a useful practice. The second reason being the economic investment needed to practice between the “special” clothing, gear and the cost of classes. The third reason being a misconception as to what a “yoga body” looks like.
The objectives of Yoga in Old North St. Louis are:
· To expand the knowledge regarding yoga and living a healthy lifestyle in Old North St. Louis.
· To provide affordable yoga classes to the Old North and surrounding communities.
· To become an integrated part of the Old North community.
· To introduce yoga and it’s asanas to 100 new students
· To have each class attended by a minimum of 12 people within the first year of operation.
The $30,000 start-up expenses for the are focused primarily on studio setup, equipment, and staffing for 6 months, as well as initial advertising and website set up.
This 6 month grace period will allow me to create a noticeable difference within the community. Leading to a grass roots word of mouth campaign bringing in more first time students.
