Chris's Cancer Fund

Thanks for visiting Chris's "gofundme" page.  

Chris has been battling Stage 4 colon cancer, spread to the liver, for almost one year now.  He and his family are approaching the one year mark since his diagnosis. Chris is 38 years old, has a wonderful wife named Bonnie, and two children (Carter age 10 and Ella age 4).

This past year has been beyond diffult, to say the least.  Chris has had several invasive surgeries and is now beginning his third round of chemo this year.  He is currently devoting all his energy to his health and recovery and is unable to work.

Their cancer journey has been one of highs and lows.  I know they so appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers and continued generosity.

However, I'm writing and posting their gofundme page again because the financial burden of this journey has been devastating.  They are working hard to make it day by day, week by week, and so on.  Using every resource they can, they have made it this far but they could really use some help.  With the holidays approaching, a new year of deductibles and medical bills ahead, and scraping by on one income, they are trying hard not to feel discouraged.

Please consider donating (or donating again)  to this fund to help the Derendal Family get through the holidays and a new year ready to continue their fight against cancer.
