Give a little love to fly

Donation protected

I'm sure many of you are aware of Megan Dembroski's situation. About the barn fire that destroyed her life, putting a hold on her wonderful training, coaching and boarding business, and has left her to deal with despair I'm sure is beyond what we could ever imagine one person being able to endure. But I doubt you know just how horrific it is. She didn't lose one pet and was able to feel love and understanding from her others, she didn't lose all her pets and was still able to go home to the comforts of familiar surroundings and favorites.

She lost it all.

Her cherished and adored Sable, that she has had since she was in elementary school, a 20 year boundless loving partnership

her treasured and precious perfect Little man, that she spent years dreaming of and saving for, in order to breed Sable, his momma.

She lost Keesha, a boyfriend who passed aways dog, that she took in and insanely spoiled and loved. All that she was most proud of, dead. Not to mention all things material she's ever owned is gone. Her home and facility she rented and had tirelessly worked on so very hard doing renovations and upgrades, mostly out of pocket, burned to near ash. Devistated is a understatement. Her unique and marvelous 25+ year collection of customized horse gear, either made, rigged, sought out, tracked down and tailored just perfect. Gone.

Her boyfriend had a great deal of his things there as well, and very sadly, his dog died also. Much was lost for that man too. Megan isn't a casual spender, she has never taken for granted having what she's worked so dam hard for, she always found such joy and excitement with the little things, which I think is one of so many things, we all liked about her. Her commitment to training and teaching, really showed her love of the animal connection she knew the world needed. I can not bare to even try to understand how she is dealing with the lose of her soul mates, and the bond she had with them, that truely gave her life. I have known megan only for the last 7 or so years of her shoeing career, but that girl, I tell ya, is a horsewoman.

I would like to start a campaign, in the hopes that I can raise some funds for megan to try and start enjoying life again. I know the Reid family did a fantastic job with an account that helped both megan and ryan too, get back on their feet, and it was greatly generous of all who donated. With the percentage the funding page takes, and all the things needed to just start rebuildind the minimal necessities in both their lives, I would imagine there isn't much left. And seeing also that megan broke her ankle and was off work the entire summer, her busiest season for shoeing, and with operating costs of her business and care for her pets, was unable to save nothing going into the slow period.
It would be nice to allow some time for her to ease back into work with out worry, replace and upgrade some of her burned and ruined farrier tools (I have heard high country horse shoe supply store has kindly helped some), repair her fire damaged work/daily driving truck, buy some riding clothes and training gear that are specific to megans programs, and although there have been gracious donations, perhaps some non-essential clothes and furniture they can pick themselves that feel a little more personal.

Being as her horses were job, hobby and dreams, it would be nice to see her pursue more, another passion she had.

I would like to see megan continue with her flying again. Besides her horses and dog, she was always talking about how much she missed flying, but never complained about the time and money her business and horses required. She was working at hours towards one day commercial and flying seaplanes, if I remember correctly, was a goal. As disheartened as I'm sure she is, I think she would enjoy having the opportunity to get back into it and have something to work towards again.

Thanks all, for the taking time to read as I know it's lots, but we could write forever about her kindness, generosity, immense compassion for animals and her hardworking and dedicated nature.

Please consider a contribution and if would so kindy share this.
