Hi, I am artist Jason Swain and I am raising money to help pay for materials and postage costs to get the portraits of Australia's fallen soldiers to the family members of each soldier I paint. Each portrait is done on canvas, this canvas is then mailed to a local frame shop in Australia where it is stretched and framed. Then if necessary the portrait is carefully boxed up and sent to the family. Each portrait costs approximately $300 to $350 to have this done, Iam doing this free of charge.
Australia lost 40 Diggers in the Afghan war and this is my way of paying tribute to these warriors and also give each family a personal gift to say thank you for their sacrifice.
