Mitten love Group Surgical Mission- Philippines

We are having a surgical charity weekend in Cebu Philippines. We went in 2018 and were were able to complete 350 circumcisions in one day. This is an important part of their culture. This time around we are reaching higher! We are looking to do at least 25 major surgeries for poor patients who desperately need healthcare. Unfortunately free isn't free in all aspects of 3rd world healthcare. We are hoping to raise as much as $15,000 in order to host as many hospital stays as possible. For each patient we are budgetting $400. This will cover their hospitalization fees. The surgeries will be free and being done by our volunteer team from around Michigan as well as healthcare professionals from the Philippines, but the bed is not free. A lot of politics are involved and we can't change that, but we can raise funds and help as  many people as possible. In addition to this surgical weekend we will again be spending a day feeding children in Cebu. Last year we fed around 300 children and also were able to provide them with backpacks and school supplies that are so hard for these kids to come by. The group of us that went on this trip in 2018 were so moved by this experience and that's why we are reaching much higher this time around to make as big an impact as possible!!! Anything you can give is amazing, a little bit will go so far to help our cause. Our trip is 100% self funded and we are being lead by my very amazing friend Aimee Albright who is a nurse with me at Munson and was born and raised in Cebu. I'm honored to have spent time with her family that does such great things in the Philippines.
