Michael's Medical Fund

At 27 years old our dear friend Michael Daly was diagnosed with Melanoma after having a rapidly growing mole removed from his wrist and tested. He then went on to have one surgery after another, removing lymph nodes for testing, as well as months of having multiple scans and medical procedures, which determined that the cancer had metastasized. Another tumor had grown a few months later and was removed from his arm. That tumor was then used in a clinical trial that Michael had agreed to participate in, in an attempt to permanently defeat this monster called CANCER. All the while, he was out of work and the medical bills just kept stacking up. Fast forward to today, almost two years later, after routine bloodwork, he received an emergency call from his doctor that his hemoglobin level was dangerously low and he would need to rush over for an emergency blood transfusion. The hospital did a series of tests, including a CT scan, before performing several blood transfusions and admitting him for a series of dangerous symptoms that would require around the clock monitoring. The results of the CT scan were terrifying; a softball sized tumor had grown within months overshadowing and attaching to one of his kidneys. The kidney, tumor, and surrounding tissue had to be removed immediately. So on April 18th, 2017 the six hour surgery ensued, putting Michael yet again out of work and the medical bills growing. The doctors confirmed once again CANCER was the culprit, and Michael and his family are anxiously waiting for more specifics and the next course of action to continue this fight for his life and finally defeat this horrific disease.
