Spencer's Tale, chapter three

Many of you have been following the updates about Spencer, the tiny kitten who came to Maddie & Friends several weeks ago, covered in fly eggs and maggots. 
Until now, I had not given the details as to where he had maggots.
Spencer had maggots exiting his body from his rectum and penis.
From this and possibly that the other tiny kitten had nursed on him in that area, he has developed difficulty in urinating. (they were separated as soon as noticed).
I took Spencer to our local vet, who said because of his young age and tiny size, Spencer should be taken to the University of Pennsylvania, which is where he is now.
Spencer will have surgery this afternoon to determine the amount of damage and to correct the damage.
He may also require an additional procedure in a couple weeks, after he has grown a little more.
Spencer's care at the University of Pennsylvania is going to be expensive, but without this surgery his bladder would have ruputred and he would have died.
