Help for Wade

Donation protected
My son Wade was injured at work (Kimbles Logistics) back in 2016.  He was lifting topst weighing between 80 and 260 lbs. blew a disc in his neck.  He had to have surgery, a fusion using a metal plate, but then after several months of no improvement they re-looked at the neck only to discover that the screws were broke and had caused the plate not to fuse.  A second surgery was required and months of healing.  during this all most two years he was receiving workman's comp, of which he had to continue to fight for and therefore had to get a lawyer.  Back in November of 2017 he received a small settlement which was used for paying off other medical bills, doctor bills, loans from friends and family members and to purchase a vehicle.  He was released to go back to work with restrictions, can't lift anything more then 10 lbs or 5lbs over his head.  He was a fork lift driver but also had to be able to lift heavy items.  When he returned to work, Kimbles informed him they no longer had a job for him after 19 years and let him go.  He applied with work one to find another job and possible schooling to retrain for something he could do.  He was hoping to be able to be a fork lift driver that was dedicated and would require any lifting.  Then he spent more of his settlement on future bills, Dec, Jan, etc thinking he would surely be working by Feb.  But then a ulcer on his foot became infected, which was the beginning of a health disaster.  He was in the IU Health Orange County Hospital for a few days dealing with the foot infection.  Sent home and told looked good.  Then a few days later was not able to catch his breath, was swollen in addomen and legs.  I made him go to the ER.  He had fluid on his lungs and had congestive heart failure. After some tests they decided to send him to Bloomington IU Health to cardiac unit by ambulance.  Once there as they were taking him out of the ambulance, the legs on the gurney failed to come down and he was dropped.  They discovered he had a torn valve and was not repairable but he could take medication that would help his heart pump better.  They gave him antibiotics for his infected foot and he was sent home.  A few days later he was back in the ER with severe pain in his hip and left leg.  The infection that was gone was suddenly back.  And the hip had started hurting after the drop.  He was readmitted to Orange Co.  Hospital.  But early in the morning he went to the bathroom and was bleeding severely from his rectom.  He had been on blood thinners to fight against blood clots.  Once again he was rushed by ambulance to Methodist in Indy.  Where he learned he would need to have his toes and part of his foot amputated.  Then they also did an MRI on the hip area and discovered a black mass on his kidney.  The doctor informed him that it was probably cancer.  He is now home, trying to heal, with still more issues, hip, kidney, heart condition follow up, and no money.  Due to the neck and workman's comp settlement he may not be able to get disability.  The cardiologist says he cannot work even once his foot etc is healed, and we don't know what he will face with the cancer on his kidney.  He has an attourney he has agreed to take his case pro bono, but it could take a year or even two before he will see any money.  He needs help paying rent, utilities and living expenses, food, etc.  I have estimated the need at approx. 12,000 for a year.  Please if you can help him.  I am doing what I can, but I have 3 teenagers and my own expenses as well.  Thank you for your kindness. And God Bless.
