Please help my mum come out of hospital more

Donation protected
My name is Nathaniel and I’m 17 years old.  Today I’m asking for your help to have more time with my mum.
Most kids want to get a break from their parents. You can go through stages of wishing they would leave you alone, let you play online etc, leave you in peace for an hour, maybe two or even more.
I would like to go against that norm. My mum has spent around 9/10 months out of the last 12 months in hospital. You only get one mum and it can be hard.

There is a new treatment mum could try but it’s not covered on the PBS and privately it would cost $1500 per treatment.
BUT instead of her being admitted every 2 weeks for the rest of her life and basically living in hospital we hope she will only have a total of 4 treatments in the first year with 2 of these being in the first week as a loading dose, then one approximately 6 months later and then the huge possibility to reduce to one in the 2nd year.
I have asked Mum and Dad before if I could start a Go Fund me and their answer is always no. They are too proud to ask anyone for help. Mum also doesn’t want people feeling sorry for her, so instead of doing this Go Fund me for her I’d like to do it for myself  Mum has had
Cancer twice
Part of her esophogus removed
90% of her stomach removed
She now has Heart Issues
30 Black Outs a Week
A very rare disease where her body is attacking her autonomic nervous system causing multiple organ failure.
She is in a wheelchair
Can no longer drive
Has a spinal chord injury from a previous surgery
Can no longer toilet herself she has a stoma and catheter
Along with a JPEG for food
She was diagnosed last month with osteoporosis and told her bones were like a 78 year olds and by next year a simple knock would cause a fracture.
Her Liver is now being affected and this week she has been told her kidneys to. The month before she was in ICU with septicaemia after a septic shock in her portacath.
Meningitis every 2 weeks due to the IVIG.

I’ve seen my mum go from someone who was so independent to someone struggling to do the simplest of tasks.

Yet if you look at my mum she will always put her make up on and smile and tell everyone she is ok.

If anyone could help me help Mum and Dad (Dad has a neurological disease also so can’t work) I would be ever so grateful. If we go over the budget I have set I would love to try and get some kind of  cheap accessible wheelchair car so Mum can get out in her new wheelchair as it weighs 150kg and won’t fit in the car, so if I can raise $5,000 towards that I have $5,000 in my savings and I’ve seen some on Gumtree for $10,000 which have a ramp and I hope they work. We may find one cheaper so if anyone has any contacts that would also be wonderful.

Mum also takes around 60 tablets a day and not all are on the PBS, so although she has reached the safety net threshold she still has large medical expenses.

Thank you for reading until the end. I’m sure you all have lots more important things going on and Christmas is coming very quick. Thankfully mums refused this treatment so she can be home for Christmas so I have my present.
Please remember donating never needs to be a huge amount. We sometimes hold back thinking what would a $1 help, what would it help if I shared that post.
They can help a lot.
