Critical Needs Support Foundation

Critical Needs Support Foundation (CNSF) is a small, locally registered, non-governmental organisation in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Registration number K2559
Registration number K2559.

We are committed to providing critical support and hope to those most in need. Presently we have a range of projects serving both the refugee and internally displaced communities now living within the protection of Kurdistan:

Children’s Activity Centre Tent, Yezidi Camp – there is a very real danger of a whole generation of Syrian and Iraqi children losing out on an education due to this on-going conflict.

The wonderful thing about this project is that it has created a safe space for the children to go back to just being children, receive a basic but balanced education in key subjects like maths and English, have some fun and therapeutic sessions such as arts & crafts and storey times to feed their little imaginations.

Raising USD$ 12,000, would allow us to run a regular schedule of key classes for 5 days p/week and give the children hope of one day building a brighter future.

Summer Orphans - CNSF will continue to support the orphans and widows that we cared for during the winter months. We have identified 630 vulnerable children in need of support, orphaned as a result of Daesh activities. For just USD$ 50, we can support one child for the entire summer, allowing us to provide them with clothes, hygiene kits, food, medical treatment and cooling fans.

If with your help we can raise USD$ 31,500, we will be able to support all of these vulnerable children through the extreme heat of a Kurdish summer.

New Life Project – this project is designed to help people who can never return to their old livelihoods, to learn new skills and with them, a chance at becoming independent and being able to support themselves and their remaining family members.

CNSF’s new life projects provide training and equipment in several vocations, including; computer/IT, cosmetology, tailoring, basic carpentry, painting and electrical skills. For example, for only USD$ 80, CNSF is able to teach basic sewing machine skills and equip one lady with a sewing machine, ready to start her own micro tailoring business.

We are aiming to raise USD$ 1,200 allowing us to take on another group of 15 people for vocational training.

Peshmerga Battlefield First Aid Training – we are extremely proud to provide critical battlefield first aid training to the brave soldiers protecting the borders of Kurdistan from Daesh. To-date we have already trained 825 soldiers and issued them with a personal medical kit on completion of our basic training course.

Our objective is to reach a medic to soldiers’ ratio of 1:8 (the British Military is 1:4), we need to train 10K soldiers in total. In 2016 we aim to train 5k of these, so we urgently need your help to raise another USD$ 125,250, to cover the USD$ 30 p/personal medical kit.
If you would like your donation to go to a specific project, please note this in the comments section, or alternaively we will put your donation to the best possible use on your behlaf.

CNSF is proud to only spend 10% of donations on our overheads, every other pound, dollar and dinar raised goes straight to the people who need it most!

Thanks so much in advance for any money you can spare to help us keep these critical projects going and in turn, delivering hope to those most in need.
