Cancer strikes again .........
Our dear friend Karen has once again been delivered another diagnosis of cancer, this time breast cancer.
At 21 years of age Karen was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. She battled through treatment over the next few years until finding out it had returned when she was 24. For the next 10 years she battled through with treatment, having a stem cell transplant at 29, and being told that further treatment was up to her being that she needed to think of the quality of her life if she was to continue.
When she hit her early 30's the doctors discovered a tumor at the base of her spine which eventually put her in a wheelchair. She again had treatment and physio to learn to walk again. She had her spleen removed during this time and eventually her gallbladder after having trouble with this for a significant amount of time.
The Profile photo is of Karen when she decided to regain her fitness and become a much healthier person. Unfortunately she has now received the news that she has breast cancer. She is prepared to fight this fight as she has always done, with strength and dignity.
This time around however, Karen needs our help. As a single mum she has bills and financial responsibilities, including the cost of surgery, that she is going to struggle with. Karen is the first person to help out when someone is in need, so we need as much financial help for Karen to assist with her bills over the months that she will be unable to work for.
