American Legion Niskayuna Post 1092 is the last physical post in Schenectady County. We are struggling to stay open. We are seeking funds and donations to help us restore this building to functional level so that this post can continue its work and preserve its historic nature.
We are committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veteran.
American Legion Niskayuna Post 1092 is run solely by volunteers. All funds support local veterans and veteran programs.
We have been holding fund raiser events (pasta dinners, chicken wing nights, Barbecue Chicken dinner etc.) These events raised monies for the Phisher House, Honor Flight, Adopt a Soldier programs and Veteran’s needs. In addition to the fund rising, the Legionaries are instrumental in supporting the maintenance and traditions of the facility itself. But this is not enough.
We are Americans, Veteran advocates and Patriots that have a desire help the men and woman that sacrificed so much for us. Please help us to continue to help the people that gave us so much.
