Educating people in abject poverty & upgrading shacks in Townships in South Africa:
We recently completed a sustainability module as part of my MBA with Trinity College in Cape Town, South Africa. During this time I witnessed abject poverty for the first time in my life which had a profound effect on me.
We met a number of amazing people who have overcome oppression but are dealing with poverty on a daily basis with dignity and hope.
Working closely with local community groups in Cape Town, we are raising funds to educate children from primary through to secondary education. We understand that this commitment is over an extended period of time and are collecting funds to sustain this, so we can ensure that the children complete their education to give them a chance in life that their parents were denied because of the apartheid regime.
We are also working with another community group to upgrade or purchase shacks for the poorest of the poor.
For every 20 people that contribute €100 we can provide education for a child for one year and upgrade or purchase two shacks.
We welcome your support on an ongoing basis to assist our cause.
I thank you on behalf of our team.
Kindest regards,
Ken,
