Help me start a career
Hello all.
First of all, thank you so much for opening this page and reading my words.
I am struggling very badly financially with no prospect of improvement. I work part time but it's a fixed job where I've worked at for over a decade now. They will not let me increase my working times however.
I live in a mainly tourist area, so most jobs are seasonal, meaning, if I were to leave my current job, I would go to one that might pay more but I would end up unemployed before long.
Why not try or get a second job however?
I am a single parent and from monday to friday I need a job that's compatible with my son's kindergarten schedule. On the weakends I do closing shifts so I earn a little extra.
I am trying to stetch everything as much as I can. But one thing I believe could earn me a little extra would be to draw because I could work from home on whatever spare time I can get.
And I do have a small drawing tablet that allows me to draw. It helped me improve imensily the past year and grow as an artist. I've also started a webcomic thanks to it.
But it limits me as well. I can't do much detailing at all because it lags. I can't make an illustration bigger than 2000x2000 because it lags. Sometimes I have to create several separate files to make one single illustration.
I need better tools to grow as an artist and hopefully gain momentum and attention online for commissions. But due to my economical situation I am unable to save up.
And that's where this gofundme comes in.
I am eternally grateful for anything you are able to give, it is an investment in me, a trust in my skill and my potential and there are no words to express a thank you for that.
I do want to be able to somehow thank you, in the only way I can, with art!
If you donate any amount from 1€ to 10€ I will draw you a bust. The bigger the donation the more detailed the bust will be.
If you donate anything from 10€ to 20€ I will draw you a waist up. Again, the bigger the donation the more detailed the art will be.
If you donate anything from 20€ to 30€ I will draw you a full body. Same rules as before.
Anything above 30€ can be more than one character, something more detailed with background.
We will talk it through.
Let me tell you about why I've chosen this display drawing tool.
It is big and wide, which I find good and important for detailing and confortable.
The stylus has great levels of sensitivity (8192) has inclination technology, which sounds very promising and exciting for shading and best of all for me, it doesnt't have or need a battery! That means I will not need to use money on batteries, nor will I be blocked from drawing if I forget to charge it.
It doesn't need to be plugged to the wall, which is super important to me! It is powerd by usb which means the power consuption is minimal and it won't represent a big eletric impact on my bill which is awesome.
It's also an inexpensive brand, specially when compared to the holy grail of digital art, the Cintiq.
All the money collected from this gofundme will be used towards this goal of mine. If by any miracle chance, the money received goes over my goal, I will use it into investing on my pc. To fix it (The casing broke around the power socket) or to buy a new one entirely.
