Restore Church "Do For One" April 13th-April 20th
"Do for one as you wish you could do for all"
Restore may not be able to serve everyone in Harford & Cecil county but they want to do the best they can! The week before Easter (April 13th-19th) they will be serving "the one" person as they wish they could serve everyone. They will be hosting six days of extravagant generosity to Harford & Cecil County community. The events will cost over $5,000 to pull off.
Monday: Military Appreciation Day :: Purchasing meals & drinks at Briquets Charcoal Chicken in Aberdeen for the first 70 military personale to visit the store.
Tuesday: First Responder Appreciation Day :: Putting on a luncheon for all volunteer fire fighters in HdG at the fire hall on Revolution St.
Wednesday: Women's Needs day :: Remodel of Alphas Glory Crisis Pregnancy Center in Aberdeen
Diaper Drive will have taken place April 6th-April 15th and diapers will be delivered to the agency
Thursday: Teacher Appreciation Day :: Hot Breakfast for all teachers and staff at Perryville High School
Friday : Hunger Awareness Day :: Donating 1000 paper bags of groceries to HdG Housing Authority's food pantry
The children's ministry (rKids) will be donating hundreds of dollars in change that they will be collecting from April 6th-April 18th. This change will be donated to HdG Elem. To assist in the lunch debt that parents have not been able to pay off for their children to have lunch. While no child is denied lunch if the parents do not pay the lunch fee it goes to collections (we want those parents to not stress about this)
Saturday : GIANT FREE Easter Egg Hunt :: 100,000 stuffed eggs at Perryville High School, pony rides, prizes photos with the Easter bunny, bouncy houses and much more! Also they have added a Special Needs Egg Hunt to take place at 10 & 11AM. Additional egg hunts will take place every 20-30 min. throughout 10-12PM.
Sunday: The entire event culminates on Easter Sunday. Restore has selected 24 members of the community. 6 teachers, 6 military, 6 first responders, and 6 single moms. They will be recognized and given a gift (specific to the interests we find out they have). This ceremony will take place at all three campus' at all services. Restore Church has 3 locations that meet at Perryville High School (10:15AM) , HdG Elementary (as of 4/20) (Sat. 6PM 616 Ontario St.) (9, 10:15 & 11:30AM) & Regal Cinemas in Abingdon (10AM).
