**MOST RECENT UPDATE:**

Hi All:

My mom wanted me to update you with a follow up from her Dana Farber visit in Boston.

After getting blood test results and all scans reviewed by Dana Farber, the sponsor of the trial at Dana Farber has determined Michele to be ineligible for the clinical trial because the tumor had shrinkage from radiation and has not grown in size. It's still fairly large at 7.7 cm on the sigmoid colon and rectum. There are no other immunotherapy trials at this time. Now, we have to make decision and get opinions from Sloan Kettering in NYC and also a doctor in Rochester, NY as well as a local gyn oncologist. Possible upcoming decisions include more chemo, or to try to find an immunotherapy drug that is FDA approved. She is not giving up on the immunotherapy front. Surgery could also be an option and Michele is going to pursue second opinions about this option as well.

There are also new tiny 5mm lung nodules in her right lung that were not detected in scans before. There are also nodules unchanged in left lung, which were seen on scans before. Michele will need to see a lung specialist about these new nodules to see what they are all about. They could be from scar tissue or could just be from inflammation due to a recent virus she has had but we will see what the specialist says.

The money donated thus far by you all will go to travel expenses, medical deductibles and copays as we seek answers for what the next step in this journey will be. Any information, connections or suggestions on doctors, etc would be helpful and are much appreciated!

As always, Michele and our family are forever grateful for your generosity, support, love ❤️ and prayers on this journey. We continue to fight bravely next to Michele in this fight and we will not give up!

Peace and love to all,
Michele, Jenna and Family

Update #10
Hi All,
I'm sorry I haven't posted an update in a while! We wanted to update everyone on the next phase of my mom's treatment journey. She recently completed radiation therapy a few months ago and this did shrink the tumor a little bit but it is still there. So, the next step is a clinical trial in Boston, MA at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Michele recently met with the doctor's at Dana Farber on Monday and had a bunch of tests to determine which clinical trial will be best for her. We are still waiting to hear back from Dana Farber on the results of these tests but we do know the following: the clinical trial will take place at Dana Farber in Boston, MA weekly for a month then biweekly indefinitely. The treatment as of right now will be immunotherapy.

As you can imagine, traveling to and from Boston from New York every week will be very financially straining for my mom and our family. The costs that we will be facing are transportation, food and lodging for my parents while they are in Boston having my mom receive her treatments.

She needs this treatment, we have no other option at this point, based on where the tumor is located. This is the next phase of her journey and is going to be our lifeline to save my mom's life. Please, please, PLEASE, I am urging anyone and everyone to donate anything they can to her GoFundMe to help pay for the costs associated with this new treatment in Boston. Your donation will make it possible for my mom to do this clinical trial. WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you are able to, we would love if you could share this post and her GoFundMe page on your page as well. If you'd like to send a check to my mom directly, please message me and I will give you the info.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

God Bless and Peace!

-Jenna-

**Michele's Original Story, November 2015:**
Hi Everyone. Thank you so, so much for your donations. My mom is out of surgery but our worst fears have been confirmed-she has Ovarian Cancer. Thank you for your continued prayers and love through this, she needs them the most right now. If you can afford to donate anything, any little bit would help. Treatment is going to be very expensive and she needs all the help she can get. This woman is the most amazing woman in the world, she would give you the shirt off her back. She doesn't deserve this but God is giving her this fight for because he knows how strong she is and knows that she can overcome anything. Please consider donating to our cause, we will be forever grateful. She is in for the fight of her life and this would help her immensely. Thank you and God Bless. **

Hello! My name is Jenna and Michele "Meesh" Payne is my mom. I am raising money to help my mom with her treatment for Stage 2 Ovarian Cancer. My parents moved to Florida in July of this year and shortly after moving there, doctors did a bunch of tests on my mom and found a large 10cm ovarian mass.  Since then, Meesh has been in and out of testing and scans, in the hospital for urine retention, a bowel obstruction and pain management. She is scheduled to have surgery on Monday, November 30th to remove the mass and ovaries and then, she will be out of work for a while recovering. She is currently in the hospital.

As a result of all of this, my parents now have building medical expenses and need help offsetting all of these expenses. My mom means everything to me, she is my absolute best friend and she has such a large, strong support network behind her through this. We all love her so much and just want to see her get better as soon as possible. We will be forever thankful for your donation in helping our Meesh in this struggle.

As my mom and I say all the time, "KARO...Kick Ass, Rock On." She's got this. Let's help her get through this! Thank you all!
