The Care Project
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Julie, and I'm a senior in the Social Work program at Pittsburg State University. I'm organizing an outreach project that targets the homeless population of Pittsburg, Kansas. Pittsburg is a small town that does not have an overnight shelter for homeless individuals. As the colder months are approaching, resources become more limited, and basic items are in high demand. The Care Project is designed to collect basic items for the homeless, and assemble care packages to be distributed by the Wesley House, a local day shelter that serves the homeless in Pittsburg. If you're unable to donate items, this fundraiser serves as an alternative option if you're wanting to help! A donation as small as a few dollars can help by giving somebody a new pair of gloves, or a big package of wet wipes. All funds that are raised will be spent on care package items. The end goal is to donate 100 care packages to the Wesley House! Thank you so much in advance! Items that will be purchased for the care packages include and are not limited to:
socks
toothbrushes
toothpaste
bandaids
sanitary pads/tampons
wet wipes
granola bars (softer ones to be easier on teeth)
notebooks/puzzle books
chapstick
lotion
Thank you so much for reaching out and helping this project!
