Tamara's Mobility Lift

In the Fall of 2007 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After chemo, a mastectomy, radiation, and reconstruction I heard the words "You are in Remission". Through it all I have worked as a middle school teacher. My God, my family and my work are my medicine. In the Summer of 2012 cancer cells appeared in the thoracic fluid in the lining of my left lung. Again God, family, and work fueled my healing. A new round of chemo and several therapeutic thoracentesis were preformed and seemed to be working. Unfortunately, in July of this year I was hospitalized. Small cancer cells are currently in my lungs. For the first time I've found myself out of the classroom.
My health is improving. My goal is to return to work at the start of the second nine weeks. A mobility chair has been ordered to assist me in my daily duties. However, the vehicle lift to transport the chair is not covered by insurance. The lift that matches my vehicle specifications is a hybrid platform lift. The lift cost, including installation, is $3915.81. This device is essential to my returning to work and regaining a sense of normalcy for my family.
