Tuckamore Festival

The Tuckamore Festival is one of Canada’s premiere chamber music events. Since 2001, we have worked hard to create a two-week chamber music event that inspires, excites, provokes, moves, teaches, and mentors.  We have presented hundreds of concerts, workshops, masterclasses, and children’s concerts and drawn devoted audiences from the Province and beyond. Our highly-anticipated eighteenth season promises exceptional concerts and events featuring the Danish String Quartet, pianist David Jalbert, Patricia O’Callaghan, Duo Concertante, and much more. But we’ll need your help to get there.


This year, our annual fundraiser, unfortunately fell short of its goal. However, an anonymous donor has pledged $3,000 if we are able to raise an additional $3,000 before July 15.  Will you please help us raise $6000 for the festival?  Think of it this way – for every donation you make, the anonymous donor will match it.  


Meeting this GoFundMe goal of $3000 will enable the festival to continue to support the growth of emerging young musicians and composers through our mentorship program. Participants in the Young Artist Program have included winners of national competitions and students from some of North America’s finest music schools including the Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute of Music, the Glenn Gould School, Rice University, SUNY Stony Brook, the University of Toronto and McGill University.  Recently, a number of Tuckamore alumni have returned to the festival as featured guest artists!



Your contribution will also ensure that we can continue to present world class artists like Louis Lortie, Andre Hamelin, Janina Fialkowska, the St Lawrence, Shanghai, Borremeo, and Miro String Quartet, often appearing for the first time in this part of Canada. It will make certain that we can continue to tour regularly to smaller communities and perform at rural schools throughout the province. With numerous outreach concerts, educational and free events throughout the entire year, the Festival welcomes audiences of all ages and strives to deepen their enjoyment and understanding of music.
