Hi my name is Lane Ward. I am an Elementary Education and Liberal Studies Major at Emmanuel College in the Class of 2021. During my time at Emmanuel I have become an Admissions Ambassador, I serve on the Executive Board for the Black Student Union, and have done some field work in some of the Boston Schools. This past semester I received both a 4.0 GPA and I have made the Dean's List.
I am writing to you because I need your help to take advantage of an exciting educational opportunity to travel to India and Bangladesh as part of a History and Religion Program that I am taking during the summer of 2020. The course will provide me an opportunity to expand my worldview as well as help me gain new prospectives. I am interested in teaching abroad and this experience will help me see what that would look like. I am so excited to embark on this journey!
While studying abroad is an unforgettable experience, there are also many expenses that come along with this opportunity to travel. In order for me to take advantage of this amazing experience, I need to raise $6,000 (above my current costs for tuition) to cover the associated expenses related to the added program which include travel, lodging and food. This will be a great opportunity for me and I truly hope that you can assist me in making this a reality for me.
