Veterinary surgery and after care
Donation protected
I am 57 years young. I struggle with chronic back pain. Because of this, I am a stay at home babysitting grandma. Very limited income. I got Beau from my kids 6 years ago. I absolutely love the Doberman breed of dog. They are the best! Beau is my 5th one in the 35 years since I got my first one. Well, today I had to take Beau to the vet. He was diagnosed with bloat. That meant emergency surgery to try and save his life. Bloat can kill them in a matter of hours. Unbeknownst to me, that is what was going on since Sunday night. Prognosis was not good. And the cost! If I lost him during the operation, it would still cost so much more than I can afford. But he is a member of my family so I had to try. Beau survived the surgery and now I wait. There was some other damage internally because of the twist. 12 to 24 hours will tell me if he lives or not. His spleen prevented his stomach from completely turning over. My vet said he was a very lucky dog. If he makes if thru tomorrow I will have a huge bill to pay. And if I loose him, I still have a huge bill to pay. And as I said, that is not an amount I have. I am hopeing there are dog lovers out there who would be willing to help me pay for his medical treatment he recieved today and his follow up care if he makes it. I need as much as possible or all of it by the end of November.
Beau is my baby, my buddy. Not a mean bone in his huge body. I had to try and save his life. I would be ever so gratefull to all who can help me. Please, if you can donate, I will be ever so gratefull to you all.
