Support the Love Birds

Welcome to the fund raising page for The Misfit Lovebirds: Fred and Ginger. We're raising funds for unexpected vet bills, farrier expenses, hay, and hay hauling.  All funds collected are used only to care for these two lovely creatures and any amount left over will be donated to End Of The Line Horse Placement (EOTL) in PA. 

The Story

These two gorgeous horses started life together as Amish buggy horses in Ohio about 20yrs ago. After many years of faithful service, Fred and Ginger went up for auction. Unfortunately, only a kill buyer was interested in the two skinny horses. The placement group End of the Line was able to take them in for a short while, but when the two were placed separately Ginger didn't handle it well. The decision was made to keep them together forever and Fred and Ginger were rescued and adopted by Christina S. and later were adopted by Maria. Sadly, Maria passed away unexpectedly leaving Fred, Ginger, and two other horses in need of new homes.

The other two horses found a home with Donna M. and Christina M. who kindly offered to let Fred and Ginger stay while their new home was readied.  However, as soon as Fred and Ginger arrived, it was clear that Ginger had a serious health issues and sought emergency veterinary treatment. Donna M. discovered the home for Fred and Ginger had fallen through and there was no one to be responsible for vetrainary care.

After speaking with several people about the fate of the lovebirds, Donna M. and Christina M. were asked to adopt the lovebirds and agreed. Now they're seeking the help of fellow animal lovers to raise the funds for feeding, veterinary treatment, and farrier services for Fred and Ginger. Any amount left over will be donated to End Of The Line Horse Placement (EOTL) in PA.
