MY FATHER NEEDS SURGERY

Hello, my name is Javan Thompson, & I’m raising money to help my father pay his medical bills. A few months ago my father fell ill, with colon cancer. Lost 63 pounds within a 6 or 7 month time span. Thankfully he had emergency surgery & they removed a cancerous tumor the size of a grapefruit & it hadn’t affected any other organs or lymph nodes. But he had to have a colostomy, that will be reversed in December & that’s another surgery. We weren’t exactly prepared for all of the medical bills. Reason being, his insurance only covers hospitalization & when he chose his insurance when he retired, he wasn’t aware of that. & he got denied for insurance that would cover those things. 

My father is a great person, and has never been sick until now. Never needed any medicine not even for a headache. This caught us all off guard.  He’s always been the rock of our family. He and my mother have been together for 40 years & she’s currently taking care of him.  He’s always had a very giving heart & still does. 

So because of the insurance he has now, surgery, doctors visits, and medicine all have to be paid out of pocket, and we can’t afford it. 

Hes on on the road to recovery but there’s still procedures that need to be done, including a surgery in December. 

Im not asking any of you to give a specific amount. All I’m asking is that you give what you can afford. All of you are greatly appreciated. Thank you very very much. God bless you all.
