Robotics World Championships in Houston, Texas

Recently, the Galactic Wranglers Robotics  club from Bentley/Lacombe were at the 2019 Canadian Rockies Regional Competition in Calgary, AB. We competed against teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan, the USA, Mexico, Turkey, Australia and China. 

The mentors are so proud of the students. They had many interviews at the competition and excelled at all of them. At that competition they won the Rookie All-Star Award. 

We are are very honoured that the judges believed in our team. As well, we are excited to be heading to Houston, Texas to the World Championships from April 17-20th!  So we are looking at a very quick turn around for our team. At the World Championships there will be over 400 teams competing. In comparison, at Calgary there were 37 teams competing. 

We we would like to be able to take all of our team members and mentors to Houston but as you can imagine, the expenses will be great. As a small club we work on a tight budget and as a result we are looking for sponsorship from the community to help get these amazing students to this once in a lifetime event. 

We appreciate any help that you can provide for our team to be able to fully participate on this competition.
