Lug Walk 2019 - Meningitis Research
Donation protected
In June 2018 we lost one our Scouts very suddenly to Meningitis. Shannon was 16 years old when she died. She is dearly missed by all her friends and everyone in the Group. We would like to raise funds and awareness for Meningitis Research and we have decided to incorporate this cause in our Lug Walk Challenge.
The Lug Walk is a 52km day long trek from Stone Cross in Bohernabreena to the Glen of Imaal in Wicklow over 18 mountains including Lugnaquilla. The 91st attempt the Lug Walk every 4 years and 2019 will be our 3rd attempt. We have a record number of 11 members attempting it this year and we’d love to take the opportunity to raise awareness and money for Meningitis Research in memory of Shannon.
All donations, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated.
