76 Trombones

The Dilworth PLAYers, an outreach of Dilworth United Methodist Church, Charlotte, NC,  will be performing Meredith Willson's The Music Man on May 18, 19, 20, 2017!  The Director's vision includes a grand finale scene with 76 trombones filling the performance area, along with other marching band instruments of every shape and size!  While the instruments will be used for the performances, the ultimate goal and dream is that every one of theses instruments will be donated to students in schools who may not otherwise be able to afford such instruments.  We have just over two months to earn the needed funds, and even if we do not reach our goal of $150,000, every penny earned will go towards funding of new instruments for students who may just be learning the depth of their love of music!  Every child who wants to make music should be able to, regardless of their current situation.
