The mission:
Many people who live on minimum wage, or close to minimum wage, and also have insurance, can not afford copays for dental work. I am in that situation myself. Also, many people have untapped talent that could help. I am a classically trained composer with a BS in Music Composition from New Paltz, and while having a song written for you is a novelty in this day and age, it is still pretty cool. At each level of donation I am offering either lessons (for those who live close to me) or a musical piece, written for you. You will get three copies of this music, an Mp3 of the song digitally created through midi, a hard copy of the sheet music score, and a video copy on my youtube channel (wozniak13).
I have dental insurance that goes in to effect April 1st. It has been a long time since I've had dental insurance and a longer time since I've been able to fix the breaks in my smile. Over the years my teeth have become progressively worse and worse. I live with moments of excruciating pain that keep me from sleeping some nights.
Should I raise more than needed to finish fixing my mouth, all additional money will be paid forward to another person who needs similar work for their smile. And If we can get this out there in epic proportions and fundraising blows seriously past my personal goals, I am considering starting a charitable organization for people who may have insurance, but do not have the credit or money for the copays. I'm working out the details now.
