Born a normal healthy girl, at 3 years old due to the ignorance of her aunt and uncles at the time, my mom, PiChuan unfortunately contracted polio from her infected cousin while sharing the same spoon. Unable to reverse the damage, she succumbed to the destructive effects of the virus living with a deformed spine and the loss of mobility in one leg.
At a tender age, she persevered through the stigma which came with being disabled growing up at the time. With only a primary education and her strong will, she fought her way through all types of struggles in the job market to finally making way for herself but also single-handedly provided for her family.
In September 2015, a small fall that fractured her only good leg completely robbed her of the little mobility and independence that she had left. The fall also kicked started an early onset of post-polio syndrome. The combination lead her into depression.
From 2016 onwards she fought hard to regain her confidence. She regained her mobility through the use of the mobile scooter, built new relationships, began traveling and was smiling again.
Until February of 2019, a visit to the doctor due to irregular vaginal bleeding flipped her world upside down again. She was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in the cervix (mucosal melanoma), one of the rarest and most aggressive type of cancers known today, with only 1% chance of having this type of cancer in the cervix....
March’ 19 my mom undergone radical hysterectomy returning with a clean scan in April, no adjuvant therapy was done per doctors recommendation

PET/CT taken in the beginning of July confirmed that it has metastasized to the liver and spine... Treatment is now imminent.
The upcoming 6 months - 1 year treatment of immunotherapy + possible radiation will cost roughly $100K, with that said, the donations given in the last few months will help cover partial treatments, so again, my sincere gratitude for all the donations!

PET/CT taken 2nd week of Oct confirmed a clean scan, by the Grace of God
Treatment will have to continue for at least another cycle 5–10 times to make sure moms is completely stable and NED.
I am however imploring you once again, the well wishers to support by way of any donations ($1, $5, $10..) for her to continue her fight to win. I would be grateful if you could please share my moms story so I may continue to raise funds to help cover upcoming treatments.
If you’ve donated, I really appreciate it and am really thankful. I ask that however, you do NOT donate a 2nd time as I’ve received your kindness already, instead a prayer would be most appreciated.

我媽媽她三歲的時候，因為叔叔阿姨不知道小兒麻痺是會透過口沫傳染因此不小心因為共用了湯匙，讓病毒侵入了中樞神經，罹患了小兒麻痺，導致椎側彎和一隻腳無法正常活動。
我媽媽從此開始面對我們只有辦法靠想像力感同身受卻無法實際體會的人生。過程經歷很多異樣的眼光，慶幸的是他有一顆堅毅不拔的心，讓她國中畢業後靠著自己的力量嘗試了很多工作，養了一個家。
但人生就算沒有水星逆行也會有很多意想不到的挑戰。
2015年的夏天，我媽媽摔了一跤，原本賴以為生的唯一一隻腳從此也失去了。
這次的意外也讓小兒麻痺的後遺症出現了 — 提早退化。從此他可以做的事情又更侷限了，生活也必須仰賴代步車和他人幫助。
終於，他對人生失去了信心，患了憂鬱症。
好不容易經過了幾年的努力，靠著努力生活，結交新朋友，出去接觸大自然，走出又憂鬱症陰霾。
卻又意外的在今年二月發現罹患黑色素子宮頸癌（這是一種罕見的癌症，和子宮頸癌是不一樣的）因為黑色素腫瘤本身就很難醫治加位子又是在陰道，治療的難度更高。醫生確診以後我媽媽急須做治療，又因為從小罹患小兒麻痹，他身的沒有保險可以給付，所以發起了募款活動。
