James The Chinook

Poor James was attacked by a dog last Saturday resulting in a terrible infection and a broken leg. The Boxer wouldn’t release his leg and James was screaming. Mike and the dog’s owner finally got him to release. James has been at ER Vets in Seattle daily since and had two surgeries. At one point it was a real possibility he could lose his leg. Hoping things are on the mend now. He needs bandage changes every few days for the next six to eight weeks and is on four different antibiotics. The owner of the dog hasn’t offered to help with costs . Please keep James in your prayers. We are so thankful he is on the mend as he was very sick I have asked for donations for other Chinooks over the years and never thought I’d be asking for my family. Mike and Sarah have already spent over $4000 on James’ vet bills with many more to come. We are proud and fortunate to be a member of the wonderful Chinook community that comes together in times of need as well as celebrations. Thank you for your support and prayers for James.
