With the illness and passing of our mom, our family is now facing increased financial pressures and we are appealing to our friends to help us during this difficult time. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and we thank you in advance for your help, love and support. -The family of Kim Dowling

Kimberlee S. Dowling, age 59 of Lakeview, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 surrounded in love by her family at Spectrum Health Rehabilitation & Nursing Center – Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview. It has been said, since we have to eat we might as well eat good food. Kim took this to heart as she could cook anything and make it taste great. She put this talent to good use throughout her life as she became “mom” to lots of neighborhood kids over the years. She was the “hostess with the mostess” at her sister and brothers-in-law’s restaurant in Lakeview, Kim was also the “Den Mother” when her son Josh played JV and Varsity football at Lakeview and if she needed to quite the boys down or ever get someone’s attention, her whistle could be heard three counties away. However, of all the things Kim did in life, her family gave her the most joy and pleasure and she loved being a mom and a Nana. Her passing leaves a void in everyone’s heart and she will be deeply missed. Surviving Kim are her two daughters, Jennifer (Aaron) Cooper of Manistique; Jessica (Dennis) Stilwell of Garden City; her son, Josh (Amber) Dowling of Lyons; grandchildren, Christian; Kennedy; Collin; Kelsey; Bailee; Paisley and Zachary. She is also survived by her sisters, Cindy (Steve) Crater of Six Lakes; Cindy (Bob) Wilcox of Charlotte; Maryjane (Jim) Busha of Dixon Spring, Tennessee; Mindy Raglin of Six Lakes; Theresa (Jim) Eyssen of Ider, Alabama; her brother, Dan (Darcie) Raglin of Lakeview and her best friend, Brenda Ford of Lakeview. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Gary & Sharron (Sanderson) Raglin and a nephew. Visitation for Kim is being held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Simpson Family Funeral Homes in Stanton (225 W. Cedar Street). Funeral services for Kim are being held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 beginning at 11 AM at the Lakeview Free Methodist Church (110 Edgar Street). Kim’s family will also be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church. Final interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes.
