Columbus' First Herb Store

Columbus is ready for a brick and mortar herb store. We have holistic health practitioners, schools, meetups. Our locavore community that supports regional cuisine restaurants and farmer's markets year round indicate that people are ready for herbalism with a bioregional focus as well.

I am ready to make the store happen for the people of Columbus- I just need a jumpstart. I have applied for a small busines loan, but I am heding my bets with a crowdsourcing campaign.

I have located the perfect (affordable!) storefront that allows for retail sales, rental practitioner space for holistic healers, space for workshops and classes, and a production space for amazing remedies and body care. The space is being held for me until I hear about my loan or campaign.

I have people waiting in the wings to help me paint and build shelving.

I have created realtionships with local farms, gardens, and producers to create an apothecary with an incredible bioregional focus.

All that is missing is an infusion of cash for renovations and beginning inventory. That's where I need your help. I have a budget that will allow me to safely launch with just 10K. None of this budget pays me personally (even though I will be working in the store 6 days a week after launch). This amount gets me paint, shelving, some needed equipment, signage, and most of it goes to inventory:

bulk herbs, essential oils, flower essences, soaps, homeopathy, Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, ready-made herbal remedies and body care.

Once we launch, we will offer weekly classes, inexpensive practitioner space for massage therapists, acupuncturists, and other holistic health folks, and the best place for bioregional herbalism in the area.
