Fulfilling my Mother's Last Wish/Cremation Expense

Donation protected
As much as it hurts to be writing this, my mother, Kristine, is coming towards the last couple weeks of her life. She was recently diagnosed with end-stage pancreatic cancer just over a month ago, which has now spread to her spleen, kidneys, liver, and lungs. This came as a complete shock to us all, even more so when we learned that the cancer was too far spread to try any treatments. The best the doctors could do for her was to put her into hospice to make her last few weeks as comfortable as possible.
There's a lot of emotions flying around, things that were not done, people that were not visited. But, my mom was told by a hospice volunteer to put everything aside that is not a top priority - she doesn't have much time left and needs to focus on HER and the things that are most important to HER. In trying to give her these last wishes, there is one top priority that we do not have the means to give her, the most important one - for her to go back home to Ohio one last time so she can say goodbye to her father and the rest of the family.

My mother and I are originally from a small town in Ohio, as is all our family. When I moved to Florida about 8 years ago with my husband, my mother soon followed to be closer to me. Here in Florida as far as family goes, it's just my mother, myself, and my daughter. The rest of my mother's family and loved ones are in Ohio over 1,000 miles away.

I am writing this post in hopes to be able to get funds to rent a car and have gas to drive my mother, my daughter, and I up to Ohio so she can see her family one last time. She is currently in a hospice house in Sun City Center, FL. We talked to the doctor today about her traveling home; my mother's prognosis isn't looking good - the doctor said she might have about 3 weeks left. So, the rush to get my mom up to Ohio became more crucial.  The doctor is getting her medications ready and arranging for my mom to have hospice care up in Ohio for the few days she would be there, that way if anything happened with her medically, she would be covered. So, everything is set for her to go; we are just needing funding to be able to give her this last wish.
My mother is one of the most caring people I've ever known... and, I know many say the same about their mother or another loved one; but, my mom would and has gone without just so a stranger she just met may have a little bit of comfort. I would selfishly get irritated with her sometimes because she would put us out just to help someone else in need. And, everyone would say this of her - she is the kindest, most giving and caring sole I've ever encountered. I just want to be able to give some of this kindness back to her, as she deserves much more than even this last dying wish of hers. Please pass this message on to all you know. We don't have much time left before it will be too late for her to make this trip. Donations of any amount and type will help at this point, especially including prayers and good wishes sent her way. This is a very hard time for her, and all the support she can get will make a world of difference for her.
God bless, and thank you for your support.
